Sea Orbiter - a visionary vessel

MARINTEK scientists have built a model of "Sea Orbiter" vessel and tested it in the Ocean Basin at the Institute. The model is at the present at the Jules Verne Exhibition in Paris.

The real vessel will be 52 metres high, with a beam of 15 m. A visionary platform for doing science, drifting partly above and partly beneath the surface of the sea.
