On SINTEF’s side of the table sat vice president research Ernst H. Kristiansen, senior scientist Ovidiu Vermesan, senior adviser Dag Ausen and research director Andres Stølan.
The background for the visit is that Microelectrica and SINTEF are participants of the EU-funded HASTAC project. At the project steering committee meeting in Bucharest earlier this autumn, research in Romania was presented and discussed. Following this discussion, Ernst Kristiansen invited representatives of Romania’s R & D authorities to visit Norway and SINTEF in order to study how SINTEF and the Norwegian authorities organise R & D in this country.
The meeting commenced with a presentation of SINTEF and of how we operate, continuing with a presentation of our internationalisation strategy by Anders Stølan of SINTEF’s Department of International Operations. The visit was rounded off with a visit to MiNaLab.
As the host institution, SINTEF took the delegation on visits to the Research Council of Norway and the Ministry of Trade and Industry in order to offer its members an integrated view of industrially oriented research in Norway.
