The cost effectiveness to be compared to:
- a threshold “carbon price” (such as the CO₂ tax or a shadow carbon price); or
- alternative emission-reduction measures.
Macroscale financial budgeting for the decarbonisation of a portfolio of facilities or the wider NCS.

However, there is no single method for calculating a marginal abatement cost. This webinar will describe the two most prevalent variations that are in use within the Norwegian oil and gas industry, and dwell upon their pros and cons.
