Hydrogen from Norwegian Natural Gas to Decarbonise Europe & Norway

To reach the net zero emission goal, Europe needs to introduce hydrogen as a low-carbon fuel for heating, cooling, transport and industrial processes. Converting Norwegian natural gas to low-carbon footprint hydrogen through reforming and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a necessary technology to reach this goal.

SINTEF Energy Research and the University of Oslo organised a webinar on “Hydrogen from Norwegian natural gas to decarbonise Europe and Norway.”

The aim of this event was to bring together stakeholders required to enable hydrogen from Norwegian natural gas to decarbonise Europe and Norway. In particular, key findings and recommendations on technology, markets, necessary policies and regulatory requirements development from the ACT Elegancy project and other Norwegian project were presented.

OrganisersSimon Roussanaly, Research Scientist, SINTEF Energy Research and Catherine Banet, Professor at University of Oslo's Faculty of Law.

Event Summary: The introduction to the webinar is summarised in this blog post from Nils Røkke, VP Sustainability at SINTEF.

Webinar Recording: A recording of the full webinar is available here.
