Future feeds and ingredients: "Norwegian Center for Plankton Technology" and "Aquafeed Technology Centre"

Future feeds and ingredients: "Norwegian Center for Plankton Technology" and "Aquafeed Technology Centre"

In order to provide feeds and food for the growing population we need to cultivate and harvest organisms at lower trophic levels in the food chain than fish. To meet these challenges, The Research Council of Norway has granted the two national research infrastructures "Norwegian Center for Plankton Technology" and "Aquafeed Technology Centre" hosted by SINTEF/NTNU and NOFIMA, respectively.

The research infrastructures offers state of the art equipment for harvesting and cultivation of biomass as well as processing and analytical tools for testing of various low trophic biomasses as new feeds and ingredients. The centres are open for national and international industry, research institutes and universities.
