New insights into the behavior of hydrogen combustion at high pressures suggest that sequential combustion systems bring an intrinsic advantage in respect to flame stability and emissions. The application of sequential combustion into a H-class gas turbine will be described together with the latest experimental findings obtained by testing its combustion system on a rig reproducing full-engine conditions.
