Motivation and objective
The industry pull for new robotic solutions within inspection and maintenance of capital-intensive infrastructure is bigger than ever, and a technology push is aiming at bridging the current gap in the market.
[News 29 Apr 2019: Presentations available from the workshop can be found in the below program. Also, a summary of the discussions at the workshop can be downloaded from this link.]
The objective of the workshop is to give an overview of recent successful commercial deployments (i.e., "robots in action") within robotics for inspection and maintenance in today's industry, as well as future developments relevant for the industry. The workshop participants will share new technical approaches, practical experience, new business models, future solutions as well as technology gaps and need for research. The workshop will include both presentations and an open brainstorming and discussion.
The workshop is organized at the European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2019 in Bucharest, Romania, on 20 March from 14:00 to 15:30 (local time).
