The webinar consists of two parts:

"Accurate phase equilibrium measurements for CCS using an analytical method" by H. G. Jacob Stang

This talk summarizes the phase equilibrium measurements of the CO2Mix facility, the relevance of the new data, and the new innovative analytical techniques that have been developed to enable these state-of-the-art measurements.

"An Extended Fundamental Equation of State for Thermodynamic Properties of Mixtures Relevant for CCS-Applications" by Stefan Herrig

Safe and efficient design of CCS processes requires high-quality thermodynamic property information. In 2013, the development of a first reference model for CCS-relevant mixtures was completed and the model was later presented by Gernert and Span as the "equation of state for combustion gases and combustion gas-like mixtures" (EOS-CG). Over the last years, the model has been continuously updated and extended with additional components by adapting existing GERG-2008 functions or developing new formulations. The current status of the model will be presented in the webinar.

The two talks are popularized versions of NCCS presentations provided at the 20th Symposium on Thermophysical Properties, Boulder, CO, USA, the perhaps most prestigious conference in the field.
