Research group Technology in Work and Organisation

Contact person

We help partners make smart use of digital technology to increase quality and productivity, and to better navigate the digital transition. New technology should work with employees—lifting people to a level where they can take greater responsibility and make better decisions, rather than making them redundant.

We are an interdisciplinary group of ten employees. Our research focuses on how digital technologies are used in working life to improve processes, strengthen employees’ ability to perform their tasks, increase productivity, and contribute to a green and productive transition. Our research can be divided into five main areas:

  • Data-driven decision support (data analytics, process mining, etc.)
  • Digitalization in companies and the public sector
  • Digital transformation, including how digital transformation can support green transformation
  • Digitally augmented work
  • Technology-supported learning

Through our research projects, we assist public and private organisations in designing, testing, and evaluating digital solutions; developing strategies and knowledge bases for decision-making; and analysing and communicating insights from data both within and outside the organisation. We work closely with our clients on developing ideas and solutions, with clear focus on practical applicability. We are at the forefront of research, participating in national centres and international projects (EU projects). We are a broadly applicable research environment serving clients across many sectors, with particularly extensive experience in the IT industry, manufacturing, food production, healthcare, municipal services, education, and the railway sector.
