OptiPlan is developing an innovative optimisation-based scheduling engine. The engine will eventually be embedded in VISAVI maintanance planning tool (LivePlan) making VISAVI a major actor in the international market.
By adding this powerful new capability, VISAVI will enable its customers to significantly reduce their cost due to down time and inefficient utilisation of their maintenance workforce and other resources. This will enable VISAVI to move far ahead of emerging competitors internationally. In other words, the project will allow VISAVI to offer what is missing in the market: A powerful optimisation engine that allows the user to reschedule their maintenance activities efficiently again and again, with a user-centered interface that makes this process easy to supervise and trust so that the necessary full adoption by the organisation is achieved.
