I am a highly motivated food scientist who is enthusiastic about sustainable and innovative solutions to accelerate the green shift in the food system by simultaneously tackling human health-related challenges. My research interest lies especially within the up-cycling of side-streams and utilization of new resources of the food industry to generate products benefiting human health (e.g. by adding highly nutritious compounds).

2020-2023 PhD within Food Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Biotechnology and Food Science
2017-2019 MSc within Food Technology and Nutrition from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria
2014-2017 BSc within Sustainable Food Management from FH Joanneum, University of Applied Sciences Graz

Competence and research areas

Food chemistry and technology, bioprocessing, nutrition and nutritional biochemistry
Focus on macro- micromolecules (e.g. bioactive peptides); protein isolation and valorization; structure, techno-functionality and digestibility of novel raw materials; impact on human health
