Sigurd H. Jakobsen worked on energy security with a focus on contingency analysis and power system modeling during the period 2013–2015 at SINTEF. He then pursued a Ph.D. in monitoring and control of power systems, with a focus on hydropower plants, at NTNU where he collaborated with École Centrale de Lyon. Since 2019, he has been back at SINTEF, working on both energy security and the monitoring and control of power systems. Sigurd is passionate about open research and open-source software.
