Roald Sand has 30 years of experience as an economist and full-time researcher, with strong expertise in analyzing user and societal impacts of various measures and changes. His work spans bottom-up initiatives such as technology investments and business development, as well as top-down policy and market changes. He has a particular focus on agriculture, the bioeconomy and regional development, including the role and impact of different contributions from the public sector.

Education

Master degree in economics.

Competence and research areas

Among the scientific methods Sand has extensive experience with are business models, conflicts of interest regarding land and resource use, cost/benefit analyses, ripple effect analyses and various types of evaluations.
