Competence and research areas
I work with water quality, especially the microbiological quality. I specialize in drinking water from source to tap, which includes water treatment processes, biostability, assimilable (AOC) and biodegradable dissolved organic carbon (BDOC), bioavailable nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus, disinfection processes, and waterborne pathogens or indicators like legionellae and coliform bacteria. I work with flow cytometry, quantitative and digital PCR, as well as statistics and modeling.
