Optical properties of silica spheres deposited on silicondioxide/silicon structures

Abstract

Silica spheres with diameter of about 1, 2 and 5 µm, deposited on SIo2/Si structures, has been characterized using reflectivity measurements. The reflectivity as a function on wavelength of light for the 5 µm particles reveal features that are nearly identical to those of the reference structure. Keywords: Optical properties, reflectivity, silica spheres.
