Abstract
Selected test objects from PressPack have been subjected to a re-examination in
accordance with the scope of work in the Project offer.
Main results from the re-examination of components and materials:
- All IGBT modules with the original silicone gel applied by the manufacturer and operated and stored in Midel 7131 passed all the electrical characterization tests.
- For the two tested IGBT driver test objects, the ability to correctly transmit the signal from the drive interface board to the IGBT gate terminal is well maintained.
- All PP film capacitor test objects passed all the electrical characterization tests.
- Re-examination of the insulating material test objects indicates that the silicone gel insulation of the IGBT modules could be compatible with the liquids Midel 7131, Galden HT 230, as well as with highly viscous silicone liquid.
- Uncertainties related to the findings are suggested to be clarified by extended project activities.
