Abstract
CO2DataShare is an open access digital portal for sharing high-quality datasets from research, pilot, demonstration and industry-scale Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects curated from around the world. The purpose is to be a
valuable resource to the international research community working to accelerate CCS R&D and the world-wide deployment of CCS. The online portal is developed by SINTEF in collaboration with Equinor, the University of Illinois, IEAGHG and with financial backing from Gassnova’s CLIMIT RD&D Program (Norway) and the U.S. DOE Office of Fossil Energy & Carbon Management. CO2 Datashare has recently come under the stewardship of the Norwegian CCS Research Centre (NCCS). The portal was launched in 2020 and has curated and published datasets from several CO2 storage projects, and more datasets are in the pipeline to be made available.
