Least square reverse time migration: From imaging to reflectivity inversion

Abstract

Least-Square Reverse Time Migration (LSRTM) aims to get high-resolution true-amplitude imaging by including the inverse of Hessian matrix which can be solved efficiently with conjugate gradient algorithm in an iterative way. Comparing with conventional RTM, LSRTM shows improved potential for use in reservoir description and 4D seismic.
