Abstract
A weathering study and dispersibility testing were performed on Wisting Central crude oil at 5 degrees C. The SINTEF Oil Weathering Model (OWM) was used to predict the weathering properties of Wisting Central at 2 and 5 degrees C. The weathering properties were also discussed in relation to oil spill response by mechanical containment and recovery, and chemical dispersion.
