Essays on socio-technical vulnerabilities and strategies of control in Integrated Operations

Abstract

The report consists of 11 essays written by authors representing different disciplines and schools in risk research. The collection of essays elaborates various threats and vulnerabilities in Integrated Operations (IO) and/or discusses strategies for assessing and handling risk in IO. As a result, the report shows a variety of interpretations of IO-related threats and vulnerabilities as well as a range of approaches to assessing risks related to IO concepts.
The report is written within the RIO project (Interdisciplinary Risk Assessment in Integrated Operations) project, sponsored by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority, the IO Center at NTNU and the PETROMAKS program of the Norwegian Research Council.
