Marulk condensate - properties and behaviour at sea

Abstract

A study of the weathering properties of Marulk condensate has been performed using small scale laboratory testing at two temperatures, 5 °C and 13 °C. In addition, a meso-scale flume test has been performed at 13 °C. The obtained data are used as input to SINTEF's Oil Weathering Model (OWM) in order to predict the properties and behaviour of the Marulk condensate in a spill situation at sea.
