Materials and Engineering steps to design efficient adsorptive separation processes

Abstract

Abstract: the presentation focus on most of the necessary steps required to design, test and execute innovative separation processes using porous materials.
An example of hydrogen purification with metal-organic frameworks will be used to demonstrate cradle-to-grave requirements in process design and optimization. Issues like adsorbent production, characterization, scale-up and formulation will be discussed. Furthermore some process guidelines for energy savings will be presented.
