Hybrid Human-AI Collaborative Networks - Research Challenges Panel

Abstract

AI has increasingly been impacting organizations at all levels. In industries, from an initial focus at improvements and optimizations at the shop floor, AI has now reached higher levels of business processes and areas, like marketing, e-procurement, supply chain, design, planning, scheduling, and human resources management. On the one hand, AI has demonstrated to be a powerful technology and business landscape to help industries in facing many issues in this current highly competitive and VUCA world. On other hand, AI, per se, does not solve all problems. It depends on other technologies and foundations, which should work in an integrated and cohesive way. Among several issues, this panel wants to focus on three aspects: - Data Science (as one basis for AI); - AI itself (as a technique, tool, business platform, base for business models, etc.); - How organizations can handle this strong AI movement from the human perspective.
