Abstract
The presentation outlines aiD’s work on removing barriers to responsible AI adoption in industry, with lack of expertise emerging as the most prominent obstacle among Norwegian companies. 12 It distinguishes obstacles to AI uptake and impact from safety barriers that protect critical infrastructure, examining where AI could support safety and what additional risks it introduces. 3456 The research will develop barrier frameworks, mitigation guidance and criteria for AI use in safety functions, with industry partners invited to contribute experiences and collaborate on use cases.
