Abstract
Preventive health is a system-level challenge requiring collaboration across many actors; public authorities, service providers, communities, citizens and investors, and siloed interventions often fall short. Systems thinking captures interdependencies but tends to overlook the relational, human collaborations involved. This study examines the role that digital collaborative spaces can play in such multi-stakeholder initiatives, understood as arenas for interaction and co-governance around. Drawing on a user-centred, qualitative approach across four EU initiatives, it maps the needs of citizens, operators and investors. The conclusion is that systems thinking provides the lens, while the collaborative space is the infrastructure that makes it actionable.
