The project will use standard life cycle assessment method (ISO 14040744) and product footprint communication rules to assess environmental impacts of producing ilmenite, magnetite and sulphide concentrates at Titania AS in 2023.
The results obtained from this study are expected to inform production managers on improvements since 2020 using results obtained from LCA performed in DigIT project.
The findings from this assessment will also allow managers to identify processes which require further improvement in terms of efficient use of materials and energy, emission reduction per process, mode of transport, production planning and reporting relevant agencies.
