Regional and inter-municipal capacity building

The project aimed to build capacity in the form of cutting-edge expertise in developing, leading and managing place development projects that are based on local cultural heritage and local involvement. Through local cases and living laboratories, various co-creation projects were used as learning arenas and concrete experiences were shared between the project participants.

Training in co-creation

SINTEF developed and implemented training for new elected representatives in the municipalities in Innherred, so that everyone had a common knowledge base to be able to use co-creation in their political work.

Cultural heritage as a driver for place development

The project has used cultural heritage and the cultural environment as a resource for value creation and the development of attractive and sustainable local communities. By taking as its starting point the protected cultural environment in the wooden house town of Levanger, Stiklestad in Verdal, the reconstruction town of Steinkjer, the seaside cultural landscape in Inderøy, the mountain farm culture in Snåsa and Olavsarven, the project has built a systematic approach to how the municipality leads the way in co-creation with its citizens.
