FlexiMan - Flexible Additive Manufacturing for Competitive Maritime Components

The FlexiMan Project is an industrial-driven research project aiming to redesign the existing manufacturing chain of maritime spare parts.

Contact person

The project develops manufacturing approaches based on Direct Energy Deposition (DED) processes. It demonstrates the capabilities of the developed approaches to improve designs and functionalities of three critical parts, with particular focus on reducing cost, lead time and environmental impact. It investigates a material recycling process adapted to DED to improve the efficiency of maritime circular economy.
