In the course of a crowded four-hour programme the Minister will hear the latest news about the challenges and possibilities offered by hydrogen - and the very current topic of cleaning technology for gas-fired power stations. She will also be given a briefing on the vulnerability of the Norwegian and Scandinavian electricity supply systems.
Other current research topics include the challenges presented by the Barents Sea region, and how we can improve oil and gas recovery rates in the future.
The ministerial visit will conclude with a tour of the energy technology laboratories at Gløshaugen and MARINTEK's Ocean Laboratory.
