H2science is a leading conference dedicated to the latest scientific and technological advancements in hydrogen research. Launched in 2024, our mission is to provide a hub that facilitates discussions on hydrogen technologies and their societal impacts, and fosters collaboration between researchers and industry professionals in the field.

H2science is designed to tackle the current challenges related to hydrogen and anticipate future research trends. The conference covers the entire hydrogen value chain, from production to application, and emphasises the vital role of ongoing research and development in shaping the hydrogen economy.

This biennial conference is hosted by the Centre for Environment-friendly Research (FME) HYDROGENi.

Two conferences. One goal. Endless opportunities.

This year, we'll be partnering with the European PhD Hydrogen Conference (EPHyC), thereby gathering both the newest and most experienced minds with the goal of advancing a clean hydrogen economy.

EPHyC is an annual conference for EU-based PhD researchers working on a hydrogen-related research topic. It is organised by Hydrogen Europe Research (HER) together with a different host institution every year.

In 2026, EPHyC will take place from 1-3 June. It is being hosted by NTNU and organised together with HYDROGENi's PhD students. The two conferences will run successively, with the end of EPHyC feeding directly into the start of H2science.

The overall four-day programme will feature PhD presentations, oral presentations, poster sessions, high-profile keynote speakers, and social and cultural events.
