The conference is arranged in close cooperation with the Seaweed Biorafinery Platform Norway (the Seaweed platform), coordinated by NTNU and with SINTEF, NMBU. Nofima and Møreforsking as partners. In this project we develop new knowledge about seaweed as a feedstock for a long range of products and how the processing can contribute to high quality and sustainable utilisation of the resource. The Seaweed platform collaborates with Norwegain companies in the seaweed sector and this conference is a main area to meet, present results from the R&D and discuss further what this growing industry needs.
The conference will also present ongoing Norwegian R&D projects and leading companies within farming, product development and technology progress will talk about their businesses and services and how they work with technology development for upscaling. This year will also be great opportunities to mee representatives from the seaweed industry and research in the Netherlands.
