Rudolf Gerardus Egging-Bratseth

Senior Research Scientist

From 2013 to 2024 I was a professor in Industrial Economics at NTNU, mainly working on energy systems; from smart neighborhoods to global markets. In the past, I have worked in consultancy, for companies in the logistics, finance and energy sectors, and with the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands (now part of TNO). I am an adjunct professor with the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH in Bergen) where I teach courses related to Energy and Sustainability.

PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Civil Systems, University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA (2010).

• Supply networks, value chains, optimal timing and sizing of capacity investment, optimal resource allocation, energy economics.
• Techno-economic analysis of (renewable) energy markets and systems
• Oligopolistic market modeling & (Stochastic) mixed complementarity problems
