Ole Petter Haugen is a Senior Adviser at SINTEF Community, working with building defects, specialist consultancy, the SINTEF Building Research Design Guides and R&D. He has more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, including building technology, building physics, building systems, modular buildings, rehabilitation, construction claims and disputes.
Education
MSc in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH), 1990, with emphasis on building technology, moisture and building physics, and structural engineering in concrete, steel, timber and masonry. Management development through Skanska AB and Skanska Norway.
Competence and research areas
More than 35 years of experience as a consulting engineer and in building material supply, contracting, property development and client organisations. Areas of expertise: building technology and physics, building defects, moisture and climate exposure, façades, materials and structures. Condition assessment, technical documentation, construction claims and disputes, building systems, modular buildings, standardisation and building regulations.
