MSc in chemistry from NTH in 1990. PhD in materials technology from NTNU in 1998 with a dissertation on degradation of coatings on steel constructions in seawater. Working with corrosion and corrosion protection at SINTEF since 1998, maninly protective coatings. Adjunct professor at NTNU since 2008.

Competence and research areas
I work with corrosion and corrosion protection, coating technology in particular. This includes organic coatings (paint), metallic coatings, and conversion coatings, focusing on degradation, durability and maintenance. I also work with corrosion on passive materials, like corrosion resistant alloys and aluminium.
