Mari Aftret Mørtvedt

I have 20 years of experience in journalism and visual communication.

My journalism background includes work for Aftenposten's A-magazine, NRK Documentary, NRK P3, and P4.

In communications, I have worked for the Norwegian Red Cross, the ICRC in South Sudan and Syria, the climate research institute CICERO, and Norad, where I worked with development cooperation and climate initiatives. I also completed an internship with the UNDP.

Education

I trained as a radio and television journalist at Volda University College, including one semester in Namibia and at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. In addition, I studied media and communication theory at the University of Oslo.

Competence and research areas

My expertise includes photography, video production, writing, project management, and communications strategy.
