My work at SINTEF combines seaweed research and microbial biotechnology. I am involved in seaweed processing and exploring new applications, as well as genetically engineering microorganisms for strain development and protein production at shake‑flask scale. I have experience in working with E. coli, actinomycetes, yeast, fungi and lately microalgae, and I am particularly interested in linking marine resources with microbial systems.

Master of Science in Biochemistry with focus on Molecular Life Sciences at the University of Würzburg (Germany).
