Håkon has been a research scientist at Sintef Helgeland AS since 2022. Before this he worked at Jotun Performance Coatings for five years where he was a senior R&D chemist in the powder coatings group.
Håkon is working on assignment from Freyr Battery where he is supporting Freyr’s research and development as well as the establishment of battery production in Freyr's Customer Qualificaiton Plant in Mo i Rana, Norway.
Education
MSc in materials science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) 2011. PhD in Engineering Design and Materials 2017, with the thesis "Natural Superhydrophobic Surfaces - Nanostructures and Wetting States on Collembola Cuticles"
Competence and research areas
Materials chemistry, corrosion, paint and powder coatings, superhydrophobic surfaces, battery manufacturing.
