Arian began his scientific career in 2015 at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, focusing on how energy-efficiency requirements affect building design.
In 2020, he pursued a PhD at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), completing his doctoral research on Zero Emission Refurbishment (ZER).
Since 2021, he has been a research scientist in the Materials and Structures group at SINTEF Community in Trondheim, Norway.
