Katharina Nøkling-Eide

Research Scientist

I work as a researcher at SINTEF, in the Department of Biotechnology and Nanomedicine. I hold a PhD in marine biotechnology from SINTEF and NTNU, as well as a master’s degree in marine biology from UiO. My main interest is seaweed, and I work on topics related to the characterisation, preservation, processing, and product development of this biomass. I am also committed to communicating that macroalgae are an important resource for Norway, as well as a key group in our coastal ecosystems.
