Open webinar series
"How can the distribution grid be adapted to facilitate a large-scale electrification of the society?"
Electrification is one of the most important means to reduce the CO2 emissions and reach the climate goals. What will it take to adapt the electricity grid to meet the needs for large-scale electrification of the society?
This fall, the Norwegian centre for environment-friendly energy research, Centre for Intelligent Electricity Distribution (CINELDI) will host a series of open webinars. CINELDI is hosted by SINTEF Energy research, with research partners Norwegian University of Science and Technology and SINTEF Digital.
The webinars will give presentations from the research in CINELDI and from an international perspective, followed by questions and discussion.
CINELDI webinar: Planning methodology for active distribution grids
How do we plan for building the active distribution grids of tomorrow, enabling electrification and options introduced by new technologies, while accounting for a new level of variabilities and uncertainties? The primary objective of CINELDI's research on Smart grid development is to develop decision support methodologies and tools needed for the optimal planning of the future robust, flexible and intelligent distribution system.
