WP08 Demonstration in Belgium

Lead:

KU Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven)

Objectives:

This WP will test and demonstrate the usability of the EGNSS H2H module augmented for Inland Water Ways (H2H-IWW) localization in various conditions. Both an H2H-IWW for vessels as for the shore side will be developed.

  • Design of an H2H-IWW shore module based on the H2H sensor module
  • Extending the H2H sensor module towards an augmented H2H-IWW vessel module
  • Benchmarking the H2H-IWW modules' calibration and localization results
  • Experimental valorization of the:
    • H2H-IWW vessel module for cruise controlled sailing (visual input for the captain)
    • H2H-IWW vessel and shore module for cruise control-aided single-handed docking and lock passing (visual input for the captain)
    • H2H-IWW vessel and shore module as input for an inland motion controller, at assistance level (visual input for the captain)
