Nordic Additive Manufacturing (NAM) AS was founded in 2015 as an initiative from the Raufoss cluster to take position in Additive Manufacturing.Since 2015 NAM AS identified market demands and screened technologies worldwide to procure state-of-the-art production equipment. NAM pursues product innovations through combinations of classical manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing.

A critical success factor for NAM is to work with the most demanding customers and to develop its technological approaches. NAM joined FlexMan project consortium to demonstrate AM for advanced and technologically demanding products. The target results from FlexiMan project is to verify that in-house sourcing provide increased services and faster response than distributed on-location manufacturing.

The basic principle of NAM future operative business model is to establish a service for 'digital parts'. The development of such business model requires description of the level of technical information needed for each individual part in the digital storage including customer specific demands. The demonstrators in FlexiMan project will act as guidelines for the assessment of such information.
