Effect assessment
We have developed analytical tools to assess toxic insults and effects of chemicals on C. finmarchicus. These effects range from the molecular level (gene expression analyzed by qPCR and microarray), via physiological level (hormones, lipid turnover) to fitness-related levels (growth, development, reproduction and survival). One of our main R&D focuses are to link effects on molecular levels with effects on an ecologically relevant level.
