The basis for all activities on Calanus finmarchicus at SINTEF/NTNU Sealab was the establishment of the culture in 2004. We have passed well over 50 generations now, and the culture continuously provides unlimited specimen for scientific and commercial purposes.

The main focuses of the Calanus R&D at Sealab are effects assessment of chemical spills (mainly oil industry-related) to the marine environment. Below you will find information regarding laboratory infrastructure, developed technology and methods used in our laboratory.
