The Agilent 990 Micro GC (Micro gas chromatography) system, supplied by Matriks, is used for fast analysis of gas composition.

Agilent 990 Micro GC

  • Two channels
  • Dual carrier gas option
  • Max 180 °C column temperature
  • Thermal conductivity detector (TCD)
  • Molsieve 5A 10 m column
  • PoraPLOT U 10 m column
  • LOD typically low ppm mol level
  • Genie filter
  • Soprane 2 Software
  • Transportable, weight 7.3 kg

The instrument is a self-contained gas chromatograph unit with its own micro-machined injector, columns, and thermal conductivity detector (TCD), all built into a single cabinet, so it can operate as a standalone GC instrument for gas analysis. The instrument has two channels, where Molsieve 5A (MS5A) and PoraPLOT U (PPU) columns are installed. This configuration makes the 990 Micro GC ideal for analysis of N2, O2, CO2, CO, H2, CH4 and hydrocarbons C1-C6. The Genie membrane filter uses a semipermeable membrane to remove droplets and particles from the sample gas stream, ensuring proper injector function for long-term, reliable results.

Field of use

Typical applications include environmental emissions monitoring, process gas monitoring, hydrogen fuel quality control, and other applications requiring real-time gas measurement.
