Biography

TotalEnergies allocates 10% of the Group’s R&D budget to develop solutions for many aspects of carbon capture, utilization, and storage. The R&D program brings together around 70 full time staff and develops numerous partnerships with academia, start-ups, and industrial groups.
Prior to working with TotalEnergies, Philip spent almost 30 years with the National Scientific Research Center (CNRS) finishing as a Research Director. He started collaborating part-time with the group from 2019 and took the current full-time position in November 2020.
His scientific expertise lies in gas-solid interface thermodynamics and the use of nanoporous materials for separations and storage. He is author of over 200 scientific publications, >50 invited/keynote lectures, >28 000 citations and current H-index is 77 (Google).
