Information for presenters

Oral presentations

Oral presentations will be 20 minutes long in total, 15 minutes + 5 minutes for any questions.

We will be using Teams live for the symposium. This way you will get a special presenter invitation to the event and will be allowed to share your screen and talk.

We ask that you send us your presentation in advance, by 25th September, in case of technical difficulties on the day.

Poster presentations

The poster session consists of two parts:

  1. A lightning round in Teams live where each poster presenter gives a quick 2-minute summary of their poster.
  2. A poster session in Zulip (see below). We will create a dedicated stream for your poster with a video chat that attendees can join. For this part, we recommend that poster presenters either create a short presentation (e.g., 5 to maximum 10 slides) or create a single- or two-page poster that is easy to share on a screen (landscape format recommended).

We ask that you send us your presentation for the lightning round in advance, by 22th September, in case of technical difficulties on the day.

To make sure everyone gets the most out of the poster session, we ask that poster presenters:

  • are present in your video chat throughout the entire poster session. Presenters wanting to check out other posters, should make sure that a colleague can take their place in the meantime;
  • are flexible by starting their poster presentation over as new people arrive.
