SP5 will keep a continuous focus on potentials for innovation and support the process of transferring results from long-term research (TRL 2-4) to industry use (TRL 7-9) – bridging the gap across the innovation "valley of death" where many business opportunities are lost. SP5 will be a cross-cutting and integrated task in SFI Mission H₂, comprising dialogue with the other SPs, plans for stimulating innovation and procedures for identifying and promoting further development, validation and exploitation of research results showing great commercial potentials.
