WIDER UPTAKE has a consortium with 18 project partners. The participants come from five countries covering different societal, environmental and economic conditions and are from industries, utilities and research, development and innovation (R&DI).
Stichting Waternet (NL) is the joint organization of the City of Amsterdam (Amsterdam) and the Water Authority Amstel Gooi and Vecht (AGV) responsible for all water related activities, including drinking water production and distribution, the sewerage for household and industrial waste water and rainwater, waste water treatment and management of all surface waters, in and around Amsterdam. This unique combination of tasks makes WATNL the only water company in the Netherlands that covers the whole water cycle.
HIAS IKS is an inter-municipal company that produces potable water and treats wastewater from four municipalities: Hamar, Løten, Ringsaker and Stange. HIAS IKS is owned by the municipalities. HIAS WWTP was built in 1974 as part of a large rescue operation to save the Lake Mjøsa.
IVAR IKS is a public owned company by 15 municipalities in the Rogaland county, South-West Norway. Supply of water, treatment of wastewater and handling and treatment of solid waste for the 15 municipalities, serving a population of about 350.000.

NPSP BV, founded in February 2014, is a privately-owned company, developing and selling biobased materials and products. NPSP realises sustainable, biobased, fibre reinforced plastics for street furniture/infrastructure and mobility.

Sirkula IKS is an inter-municipal company that collects and sorts waste from businesses and 43.000 households and prepare it for value-added production. The company also produces tur free soil to businesses and household based on the collected waste. Sirkula IKS is owned by Hamar, Løten, Ringsaker og Stange municipalities. Sirkula IKS was founded in 2016.
Storm Aqua AS is a private shareholding company in the SME segment and it is part of the Skjaeveland Group. Storm Aqua AS deals with climate adapted storm water solutions. The company develops system solutions for handling, transporting, cleaning and using surface runoff. The company also performs measurements of ground conditions, hydrological performance, weather etc and provides input to the design and implementation of solutions.
Hias How2O is a private limited company, owned by 4 municipalities. The company delivers know-how, engineering services and hardware for secondary wastewater treatment. The prime product is the patented Hias Process for biological removal of phosphorus, nitrogen and organics. Hias How2O is currently stepping up activity in the Nordic countries, Germany, USA, Canada and China.
