Feedback from the Norwegian Centre for Dementia Research
As part of our interview series, the Norwegian Centre for Dementia Research has provided us with feedback to our assisted living scenarios.

The doctor’s appointment scenario and the multimedia assistant scenario involve an elderly woman who is becoming forgetful. The idea of the scenarios is that her son composes services to help her in some of her activities. The Norwegian Centre for Dementia Research has proposed scenario refinements related to the system interfaces with the service user. A major challenge is that learning new routines is very difficult for persons with cognitive deficiency and dementia. Also it is important to avoid functionalities that might embarrass the end-users in a public setting, e.g. using audible voice-based reminders in a bus.
